Tour Itinerary

New Delhi - Nainital

Day 1

You will be transferred by road to Nainital (280 km / 07 hours) Nainital, at an altitude of 6500 feet is a renowned lakeside hill station in the Kumaom region of Uttarakhand. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon visit the Naina Devi temple, Hanuman Garhi temple and the High Altitude Zoo. Later this evening enjoy a boat ride at Naini Lake and take a cable car ride to visit the snow view point.

Day 2

Proceed on a sightseeing tour of the beautiful Lake District of Kumaon, visit Bhimtal, Sattal and Naunchiatal (25 - 35 km). Enjoy boating in the serene waters of the Bhimtal lake. Visit the Shiva temple. Explore the orchard areas of Ramgarh & Mukteshwar (40 km) before returning to your hotel in the evening.

Day 3

The day is at leisure or you may opt to visit Pangot (15 km) for nature walks and bird watching.

Day 4

Proceed to Almora (68 km /02 hours). Almora is a Himalayan hamlet at an elevation of 6500 feet and is famous for its excellent for walking paths and offers excellent views of the Himalayas views in Winter (Oct - March). En-route you visit the Jageshwar Shiva Temple complex (a detour of 30 kms one way) Jageshwar is believed to be the site of first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The temple city comprises a cluster of 124 large and small stone temples, dating 9th to 13th century AD, with many preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Day 5

After breakfast proceed on a half day sightseeing tour of Katarmal. See ancient temples such as the Sun temple, Chetai temple and Banari Devi in the area. You may also visit the Deer Park near Almora and Binsar sanctuary (22 kms from Almora) to enjoy some nature walks and bird watching.

Day 6

Proceed to Corbett (150 km / 05 hours) home of the world famous Jim Corbett National Park with a stopover in Ranikhet. In the summer months Ranikhet is full of beautiful Apple orchards.

Day 7

The entire day is at leisure, you may take optional Safaris in the nature reserve in the early morning or late afternoon to see some of the abundant wildlife on offer including a chance to see the magnificent tiger.
